Katie Delaney (they/them) is a non-binary interdisciplinary artist living and working in Philadelphia, PA. Their work uses the language of storytelling to investigate ways the gender binary repeats generational trauma. They earned their MFA in Art & Design at the University of Delaware ('24) and their BFA in sculpture from Towson University, MD ('20). They have participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions nationally and internationally. Select exhibitions include Atheaeum Music and Art Library (La Jolla, CA), Galería Municipal de Arte (Valparaíso, Chile), The Delaplaine (Fredrick, MD), Maryland Art Place (Baltimore, MD), The John Fonda Gallery (Baltimore, MD), ICA Baltimore (Baltimore, MD), and Hen House (Washington, DC.)
In 2022, Katie received the Penland Summer Scholar Award and was selected as a Graduate Community Engagement Scholar to conduct a 10-week-long community engagement project with the Creative Vision Factory in Wilmington, DE. They are also recipients of the Beula M. Price Award from Towson University.
Their work is included in several publications, including The Shore, The Rejected Collective Magazine, and Power Clash Art.
